20-25 dill-sized cucumbers
1/8 tsp powdered alum
1 red hot pepper,(do not use if you don't want them hot)
1 clove
2 heads dill
1 quart vinegar
1 cup salt
3 quarts water
grape leaves

Directions:
Directions:
Wash cukes. Let stand in cold water over nite. Pack in sterile jars. To each quart, add alum, garlic, dill and red pepper. Combine vinegar, salt, water. Bring to a boil, fill each jar with the hot liquid. .Add grape leaf to each jar. Seal. 6-8 quarts.
