1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 Tbs. flour or cornstarch
1 tsp. grated orange zest
3 - 3 1/2 lbs. cut, sliced and peeled apples
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries (do not thaw)
2 Tbs. butter

Directions:

Oven 400 degrees
Pastry in 9" pie plate
Mix together sugar, cinnamon, flour and orange zest. Add apple slices and toss till thoroughly coated.
Place apples in pie plate in thirds-alternating with half the cranberries-press firmly on each layer-dot with butter.
Place on top crust and bake 45-60 minutes till bubbly.
