Boil chicken in stew pot until done. Remove chicken from stock and allow to cool. Remove meat from the bones and chop/cube up.

In hot broth, simmer chopped up carrots, onion and celery until tender. Season broth with salt and pepper.

Mix up 1 cup Bisquick and 1/3 cup milk. Drop tablespoons of dough into boiling broth. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until dumplings are plump and tender. Then add the cut up chicken back into the broth and continue simmering for a few more minutes. When serving in a bowl, sprinkle additional pepper on the dumplings.
