3 sticks margarine – softened
2 cups Graham Cracker crumbs or pecans
2 cups powdered sugar
2 eggs
4 – 6 bananas
1 (15 ¼ oz.) can crushed pineapple (drained)
1 (9 oz.) container Cool Whip
1 (4 oz.) jar maraschino cherries - halved
Chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

Melt 1 stick of margarine in saucepan, combine with crumbs and press into 9 x 13 pan. Beat remaining margarine with sugar and eggs and continue beating for 15 minutes. Pour mixture over crumbs. Slice bananas and put on top. Add pineapples and Cool Whip – sprinkle nuts and decorate with cherries. Refrigerate till ready to serve.

(Drain cherries on paper towels to make sure that all the juice is absorbed.)

Extras if so desired:

Hershey cocoa can be sprinkled on top of Cool Whip.
Can put a layer of strawberries after the bananas.
