1lb. hamburger
2 med onions, thinly sliced
1/2 c. celery, sliced
1 16oz can stewed or garden diced tomatoes
1 15oz can kidney beans
2 cups shredded cabbage
5 cups water
1/2 c. ketchup
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp/cubes beef bouillion

Dumplings:
1 1 /2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. shortening/oil
3/4 c. milk

Directions:
Soup: Brown Hamburger in Dutch Oven, Drain grease, add onion, cabbage, celery to hamb. cook until veggies are light brown. Stir in tomatoes, kidney beans with liquid, water & seasonings. Heat until boiling. Simmer until ready for Dumplings.

Dumplings: Measure flour, baking pwr. & salt into bowl. Cut in shortening till thinly blended/or work in oil. Blend in milk.
Drop by spoonfuls into simmering stew. Cook 10 mins. uncovered. Then cover and cook 10 mins. & serve.
