Notes: Mom's recipe says she prefers cheese to coconut. I have the hand written recipe that she gave me years ago.
Memories: Some of our most prized possessions are the quilts Mom made and the things she crocheted for us. I learned to quilt and sew, but I never could get the hang of crocheting. Peggy learned all her recipes and canning. Mom taught my daughter Karen to crochet, and Karen now makes Mom crocheted things, like dolls and jewelry. Mom always smiles when we remind her where Karen learned to crochet. It pleases her that her granddaughter learned from her.
