1 C Margarine or Butter
3/4 C Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 t Vanilla
2 1/2 C Flour, sifted
1 t. Baking Powder
1/4 t. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt and gradually add to the creamed mixture. Blend well. Chill for several hours or overnight.

Roll out on lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch. Cut into desired shapes. Sprinkle with decorative sugar (or ice/decorate when cooled with buttercream frosting.) Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet 6 to 8 minutes at 375º.
