8 to 10 tart cooking apples
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 t nutmeg
unbaked 9" pie shell
1 T lemon Juice
1/2 cup margarine
Directions:
Directions:
Peel, core and quarter apples. Mix 1/2 cup of sugar, 2 1/2 T flour and the nutmeg. Add to apples and toss to coat well. Arrange apples in shell and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix remaining sugar and 1/2 cup flour, cut in margarine until crumbly. Sprinkle on apples, slid pie into large brown paper bag, fold open end under and fasten with paper clips. Set o cookie sheet and bake in hot oven at 425 for 1 hour.
