Ingredients:
Ingredients:
20 whole large strawberries
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese softened
1/4 cup confectioners' powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
2/3 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cut a thin slice off of the bottom (stem side) of each strawberry so the berry stands upright. Place berries cut side down on a serving platter. Carefully cut the berries into four wedges, cutting almost, but not completely through the bottom with a crisscross cut. Fan wedges just slightly, take care not to break them. In a mixing bowl beat the cream cheese sugar and vanilla until combined but not stiff. Use a teaspoon or a plastic bag with decorative tip and fill each strawberry with the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle the pecans on top, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe came from Paula Deen. I use it often and everybody loves it. It's so easy to make. My sister-in-law, Patti, and I went to Savannah to Paula's cooking school. I was ready to go back there before we ever left. The city was amazing, after all it is the only town they didn't burn during the Civil War.
