Memories:

Doug and Peggy grew up together, being just two years apart. Doug was constantly talking Peggy into things - like jumping off the barn. He told Peggy if she would jump off, he would follow her. She jumped; he didn't. He told her if she would do it again, he would jump this time. She jumped again; he didn't. The barn sat where Doug's shop is now. The toilet was right beside the barn. There was a loft opening and that's where Peggy made her jumps. You had to jump a certain way to miss the toilet. We were uptown too; we had a two-holer.

Peggy was the one who saved every cent she could but Doug and I spent everything. Doug took Peggy's wallet once and we found it under the garage. The garage sat where Doug's driveway is now. She did get angry with him once though and got the best of him that time. He was yelling for Mother because Peggy had him down on the road, sitting on his chest, holding him by both ears, and pounding his head into the ground.
