1 1/2 sticks butter
1 c. flour
3 c. milk
1 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/3 tsp. mace seasoning
1/4 lg. onion
3 slices bread
1/3 tsp. red pepper
Fresh parsley
Salt & pepper
1 lb. backfin crabmeat

Over low heat, melt butter. Add a little flour, stirring to keep smooth, then add rest of the flour. Increase heat and add milk slowly (medium to medium-high). Add rest of the ingredients except crabmeat. Stir constantly until very thick. Cool, then add crabmeat. Make into cakes or place into casserole dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 20 - 25 minutes at 400º until it bubbles and browns.
