2 cups coarsely rolled pretzels
1 1/2 stick margarine (melted)
1 cup sugar
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (9 ounce) Cool Whip
1 large box strawberry Jello
2 cups boiling water
2 (10 ounce each) packages frozen strawberries

1. Mix crushed pretzels and margarine together and pat into 13x9 pan. Bake 10 minutes at 400º. Mix together sugar, cream cheese, and Cool Whip. Layer on top of pretzel crust. Dissolve Jello in boiling water and add strawberries. Set slightly and layer over to of salad; chill

This is an old but good recipe. I consider it more a dessert than a salad. The pretzels add the right amount of salt.
