4 eggs
1 stick of butter (or 4 tbsp. crisco) or half butter half crisco
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
3 cups sifted flour
Anise Flavoring to taste (1 Tsp.)
Icing: Confectioners sugar and juice from 1/2 lemon

Directions:

Beat eggs, add sugar and melted butter. Mix well. Add salt, baking powder and flour. Batter is sticky. Use large greased baking pan. Drop batter by large spoonfuls, flatten and bake.
350º for 15 minutes
Icing: mix confectioners sugar with juice from 1/2 of a lemon. Use a very thin icing.
