2 1/2 cups bread crumbs
1 tsp. soda
1/2 cup sour milk
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup raisins
1tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Lemon Sauce
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
2 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. butter
Lemon (grated rind)

Directions:
Directions:
Pour sour milk and soda over crumbs. Let stand. Mix other ingredients until fluffy. Stir in raisins and add to crumb mixture. Pour into greased , large shortening can. Cover with tin foil and steam for 2 hours in a large covered pan filled 1/2 full in water. Serve with Lemon Sauce. Lemon Sauce: Combine dry ingredients, add lemon juice. Pour in boiling water. Cook. Add butter. Pour over pudding.
