Chocolate Cake


¼ pound butter or ½ cup butter
11/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 oz chocolate (melted)
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs beaten, one at a time
1 cup chopped nuts
2 cups cake flour

Frosting:

¼ pound butter
1 egg beaten
2 ounces melted chocolate
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pound box powdered sugar
1 cup nuts

•Mix ingredients together and spread on cake
Directions:

•Combine shortening and sugar
•Add eggs, one at a time, and melted chocolate
•Sift dry ingredients and alternately with milk
•Add vanilla and nuts
•Bake inlayer pan at 375 for 35 minutes
