6-8 medium potatoes (or more)
1 large onion
flour
salt & pepper
2 c. milk
1 stick butter + 2 T
cheddar cheese (2 cups or less)

Melt 2 T butter in bottom of casserole (at least 9 x 13 or larger). Slice potatoes & onions. Layer potatoes, onions and cheese, sprinkle with salt, pepper & flour. Repeat for at least 3 or 4 layers. Make the top a layer of potatoes in nice layer. Heat milk & stick of butter in microwave. Pour over until you see milk as you turn the dish. Bake at 350º for 2 hours (more or less), covered for the first half of time. The last part, put cheese on top.

My friend Jen never gave me exact ingredients, so I just estimated. The amounts of potatoes & onions won't matter a lot. It is just yummy no matter what!
