4 cups flour
1 dozen eggs
1 lb. butter or margarine
1 lb. confectioners sugar
1 lb. white raisins
1 lb. red (dark) raisins
1 lb. walnuts
1/2 lb. each, green and red cherries (cut in half)
1 lb. diced dried candied pineapple
1 jigger of whisky

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Add confectioners sugar and cream well. Add eggs to the mixture one at a time and beat. Add flour gradually. Mix in whiskey and fruit a little at a time.

Grease loaf pans well. Put pan of water at the bottom of the oven. Cover top of the fruit cake batter with foil to prevent browning.

Bake at 300º F for 1 hour 40 minutes. Remove the foil then bake at 325º F for 15 minutes.

4 cups of walnuts is about 1 pound. You can use 2 tsp. of vanilla instead of the whiskey.
