Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Potatoes (yellow potatoes are best), about 1 potato per person if brown or, 2 per person if yellow.

Milk (about 2 tbsp.)
Butter (about 1 stick)
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
Garlic powder (to taste)
Seasoned pepper (to taste)
Parmesan Cheese (about 2 tbsp.)

Everything is done to taste, so you need to do a couple of shakes and keep tasting until you like it.

Directions:
Directions:
Potatoes need to be sliced into chunk's to cook faster. Peel them if brown, don't peel if yellow.

Boil potatoes in a big pan with enough water to cover them, and a lid. A pinch of salt will make the water boil faster. It usually takes 30+ minutes of boiling to cook. They are done when you can stick a fork in and the potato meat seems ready to break apart.

Drain potatoes well then put them back in the pan. Place nearly a stick of butter, a touch of milk (like 2 tablespoons), sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder over and drop in a bit of the cheese (about 2 tablespoons). Let that sit covered for a few minutes while the butter melts. Then mash them with a potato masher or use a spoon - but it's harder to mash with a spoon.

Taste and, you may need to add salt as it take a lot of salt to give flavor to potatoes. This is where you get to be creative and add or subtract ingredients as you want.
