Crock Pot Corned beef and Cabbage Recipe

1 bag of baby carrots
1 corned beef brisket ( whatever size you want)
2-3 onions (depending on size of brisket)
10 small red potatoes halved
1 small head of cabbage- wedged keeping the core
1 1/2- 2 tsp mustard powder
1/2- 2 tsp garlic powder
1 sprig thyme (1 tsp dried)
1 tsp sugar
1 can beer (12 oz)
1 cup water
1 tsp pepper

place carrots and potatoes in bottom of crock pot
add beer, water, seasoning
add onions
place corned beef on top
cover and cook on low heat approx 8 hours
add cabbage wedges and push into liquid
turn crock pot to high and cook 2 more hours

Do Not add the season packet that comes with the brisket.
I usually leave the cabbage out.
