8 large potatoes
Cooking oil
Butter
Salt and pepper
Sugar

Peel and slice 8 large potatoes in large bowl until bowl is full. Spray iron skillet with butter flavored spray. Let skillet begin to heat. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup cooking oil and a table spoon of butter. After washing potatoes, dump them into the iron skillet. Pour about 1/2 cup of water over potatoes. Add about a spoon full of salt. Sprinkle sugar over potatoes. Cover. Fry until tender. Stir often.

Good with fried eggs and corn bread.
My favorite part of this meal is the crispy potatoes that are stuck to the bottom of the pan. I like to add a dash of pepper on top of the potatoes when just about done.
