"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 T. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 bag miniature Reese's peanut butter cup candies
or 1 pkg. of regular or miniature Hershey's Kisses

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream shortening and peanut butter. Add sugars, egg, milk and vanilla. MIx well. Then add flour, salt and baking soda.
If making peanut blossoms with Hershey's Kisses, use a teaspoon to form balls, dip or roll in sugar and bake at 350 degrees for 9-10 minutes. Remove from oven and press a piece of candy into the middle of each cookie WHILE HOT.
If making with Reese's peanut butter cups, drop dough into greased miniature muffin pan. Bake 9-10 minutes. Press peanut butter cup into center of cookie when done and while STILL HOT. Remove from pan immediately and cool on wire rack.
Variation: May use 3/4 c. packed brown sugar with 1/4 c. granulated sugar.
