4 eggs, separated
2 cups sugar
3 tbsp. corn starch
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 can cream
1 box Vanilla Wafers
2 bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs, sugar, corn starch. Mix until smooth. Add vanilla, blend. Add cream and same amount of water, stir. Cook in double boiler until thick, stir constantly to keep from burning. Line bottom of large bowl with vanilla wafers. Top with layer of banana, cover with pudding, stir gently. Line top of bowl with wafers, cover with meringue and put in broiler to brown.

Mother made banana pudding almost every Sunday. Doug and Leon loved it. If you didn't watch, they would eat all the bananas and wafers out, leaving the pudding for everyone else. Didn't bother me that much, because the pudding was my favorite part.
