1 1/2 lb. beef stew cut into 1- inch cubes
2 tbsp.oil
2 medium carrots sliced
1-80z can tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1tbsp.cold water
2 tsp.cornstarch
hot cooked rice
noodles

Directions:
In 3 quart saucepan. brown meat half at a time in hot oil in same pan combine meat, shredded 1 cup carrots, sliced onion, tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water , brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt cover and cook on low heat till meat is tender about 1 1/2 hours. blend 1 tbsp.water with cornstarch add to stew and stir till thickened. and bubbly serve stew over rice or noodles
garnish with carrot curls.
