Ingredients: 1 1/2 stick margarine
1 C sugar
2 eggs
2 Tsp lemon extract
3 C flour
2 Tsp baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
8 oz sour cream
Topping:
1 T margarine
1 Tsp Lemon extract
Confectionery sugar
1/4 cup milk

Directions: |
Directions:Mix margarine with sugar and mix well. Add eggs, lemon extract. Mix in flour, baking powder and baking soda. Fold in sour cream and mix until a smooth dough is formed. Place dollops onto an un greased cookie sheet and bake in oven at 350 degree until lightly browned. Place on cookie rack and let cool.
Topping:
In separate bowl mix margarine, lemon extract and blend in confectionery sugar. Add milk until desired consistency.
Once cooled, frosted each cookie with topping and decorate with sprinkles. |

Notes: Susan's sour cream lemon cookies are so delicious, the recipe has been entered into the hood sour cream recipe contest with the hopes of winning $10,000. Good Luck Sue. You are the best and freshest cookie maker. Susan has become such a great friend. She meets me every Friday morning at 5:00 AM to help me make the cookies for Rig A' Tony's. Before all the cookies are done we have solved all of the world's problems. I don't even care if we get the cookies done because after the belly ache laughing, the humors stories, the stroll down memory lane or the on the couch therapy sessions.....who cares about the cookies.
