1/2 cup shortening
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1.Melt shortening and chocolate together over low heat. Cool.
2. Sift the flour, soda, and salt together.
3. Beat egg until light, add sugar, melted shortening and chocolate.
4. Alternately add sifted dry ingredients and milk to which the vanilla has been added.
5. Fill greased MIRRO Aluminum muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake for 18-20 minutes at 400 degrees. Frost with Chocolate Butter Frosting.
