1 1/2 cups hot water
3 3/4 cups raisins
4 teaspoons soda
4 teaspoons margarine
1/2 cups brown sugar
2 large eggs
4 cups flour
1 scant teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cup white sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients well. (don't worry if it looks funny,, it's supposed to). melt enough margarine and user pastry brush to grease 10 oz. soup cans. Fill cans half full. Bake in a 350 oven for 45-60 minutes. Recipe can be doubled, but adjust baking time

When frozen it can still be sliced. It will thaw much faster this way. Serve with cream cheese or margarine.
