"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 T sesame seeds
1 T. poppy seeds
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 c. distilled white vinegar
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1T minced onion
10 ounces fresh spinach--rinsed dried and torn into bite-size pieces
1 quart strawberries, cleaned and sliced
1/4 c. sugared almonds

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and onion. Cover and chill for one hour. This is the dressing.

2. To sugar almonds, place in frying pan over medium heat and add 3 T. sugar. Stir until sugar is melted and almonds are coated and browned. Be careful to stir often. They burn easily

3. In a large bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries and almonds. Pour dressing over salad and toss. Refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This makes a lot of dressing. Don't put it all on at once. I would try using half and then add more later if needed.
