1/2 c. melted butter
2 cans cherry pie filling

Directions:

Combine cake mix and butter in bowl and mix until crumbly. Layer pie filling and cake mix in a 9" x 13" pan. Bake at 350º 25-30 minutes or until browned.

Ed Redmon and Monroe Herring attended a number of events together as each retired early and were frequent volunteers for ELCMA. No two men could be or look more different, yet a great friendship developed to the extent that they often introduced themselves as twin brothers. One thing they did share in common was their love of eating good, rich food. So when Monroe says, “the number of servings for this recipe is two for Ed and me, but for all others it is ‘bout twelve”, it is probably true.
