1/2 stick butter
2/3 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. cocoa
2 c. whole milk
1/3 c. heavy cream
2 oz. milk chocolate
Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients and sift together. Heat the butter in a cast iron skillet over low heat. Stir in the dry ingredients until everything is blended. Slowly pour the milk into the skillet stirring constantly until you have a smooth gravy. Now add the milk chocolate and stir until it is melted. Add the heavy cream and stir well. Serve over biscuits.

My mamaw could make gravy out of anything and this recipe was reserved for special occasions. On holiday mornings or birthday mornings, we woke to this chocolate gravy waiting for us. It made the day special. My grandmother and my grandfather are my fondest memories of my childhood. This recipe is my rendition of her special breakfast treat.
