To each pint jar add:

1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 Head dill
1-2 Cloves of garlic

(1/4 tsp crushed red pepper) -optional if you like it hot!
1 pinch of Alum

Add brine:
Boil these together before adding to each pint.
2 1/2 C white vinegar
1/4 C canning salt
2 1/2 C water

Directions:

Cool brine so it is not hot when you put in jars, they might break. Seal jars. Process 10 minutes and let stand 2 weeks to develop flavor. Refrigerate after opening.
