1 c. flour
1 c. ice water
1 slightly beaten egg
2 tbsp. salad oil
1/2 tsp. each sugar and salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together all ingredients - a few flour lumps should remain. Keep batter cool with one or two ice cubes in the batter. Dip vegetable in batter and fry in deep hot fat (360 to 365 degrees) until tender and brown.
