4 cups flour
4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. all spice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups chopped nuts
2 cups raisins well floured
1 cup oil
3 cups COLD applesauce

1. Shift all dry ingredients
2. Add together nuts, raisins and applesauce
3. Add oil last
4. Bake in greased and floured 8x12 (2in deep) pan at 300º for about 1 1/2 hours or until done. Bake slowly

PUT OVEN ON NOT SOONER THAN 10 MINUTES BEFORE CAKE IS MIXED
