2 c. sugar,
1 c. shortening,
2 eggs,
1 tsp. vanilla,
1 tsp. lemon flavoring,
4 c. flour,
1 tsp. salt,
1 T. baking soda,
1 c. buttermilk plus 1 tsp.,

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening, add vanilla and eggs, beat well. Sift flour, salt, and baking soda together. Add flour and buttermilk alternately to shortening mixture. Drop mixture by tablespoon to make large cookies. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon top of cookies before baking. Don't brown cookies. Bake at 400 for 10 mins
