1 lb. beef boneless sirloin steak
4 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. vegetable oil
4 tbsp. soy sauce
½ tsp. pepper
¼ tsp. onion powder
4 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp sesame seed
1 tbsp vegetable oil
3 cups hot cooked rice

Trim fat from beef steak; cut beef diagonally across grain into ⅛-inch slices. (For ease in cutting, partially freeze beef, about 1 ½ hours.) Mix sugar, oil, soy sauce, pepper, onion, and cloves of garlic in a glass or plastic bowl; reserve half of mixture (approximately ⅓ cup) for sauce. Stir in beef until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Drain beef. Cook and stir sesame seeds in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until golden brown; remove from skillet. Heat 1 tbsp. Oil in same skillet until hot; add beef and reserved sauce Cook and stir beef in oil over medium-high heat until light brown, 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve over rice.
