1 1/2 cups Apple Cider Vinegar
3 cups water
1 cup ketchup
1 cup tomato paste
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar or more to taste
5 tsp salt or more to taste
3 tsp hot red pepper flakes
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 tsp ground white pepper
2 Tbsp fine chopped sweet white onion
Directions:
Directions:
Combine the vinegar, water, ketchup, tomato paste, brown sugar, salt, pepper and hot pepper. Soak slices of white onion in ice water to make sweet before chopping then add to mixture. Whisk in sauce pan on medium heat until bubbles just begin to form, remove from heat and let cool. Pulse in blender for a few seconds while still warm. Store in glass container in refrigerator.

Prepare MILD SAUCE
Mix 8 oz of Spicy mixture with 1 cup of water -1/4 cup Ketchup -- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
Pulse in blender and store in glass container.

Peppery, piquant vinegar sauce is great with Pulled Pork BBQ. Mixed half and half with KC Original BBQ sauce satisfies the traditional BBQ taste but with the kick of Apple Cider Vinegar.
