2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cups flour
2 t baking soda
2 t baking powder
2 t cinnamon
4 cups grated carrots
3/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat sugar and eggs until thick and pale. Stir in oil. Mix dry ingredients and stir into egg mixture. Fold in carrots and nuts. Spoon batter into 8 x 13 greased and floured pan.

Bake at 350º 35 - 40 minutes.

Beat till fluffy:

1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup cream cheese
2 1/2 icing sugar
1 t vanilla

Spread over cake.
