4 pork chops, center cut
(1-1/2 inch thick)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp cooking oil
1 large yellow onion, sliced
1/2 cup raisins
1 large sweet apple, cut into
wedges
1 oz port wine
1/3 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Use a 10-12 inch skillet that can be covered. Season chops with salt and pepper. Oil skillet and brown chops well on both sides. Place sliced onion over chops, and cover skillet. Cook slowly for l5 minutes. Remove cover. Place pork chops over the onions. Sprinkle with raisins around pan bottom. Place apple wedges around chops; add wine and butter, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Turn apple wedges during cooking to assure even cooking. Remove skillet top and simmer an additional 5 minutes to thicken sauce. Serve this chops with sauce, apples, onions, and raisins Serves 4

This is a great dish. I ate it over Jim Lights house,
my Monte Vista Pastor's house. His wife Joyce fixed it. She cooked with wine. she said it cooked
all the alcohol out and left a wonder flavor.
