2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. mild sausage
2 T. olive oil
1 med. onion, minced
3 T. garlic
1 T. black pepper
1-2 T. ancho chili powder
1-2 T. chili powder
1 T. cumin
2 c. beef broth
2 cans green chilies, diced
1 12oz. can tomatoes, chopped
5 can black beans
1 can kidney beans, small
1/2 c. butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a large stock pot heat oil on med-high heat, add ground beef, sausage, onion, garlic and spices until cooked, not browned. Add in beef broth, green chilies, tomatoes, and beans. Bring to a boil then reduced to simmer with a lid on for 2 hours. Cook for 4-5 hours or until liquid reduced and you have to consistency you like for chili. Before serving add in butter, stir until melted. (Adds a creamy, richness to the chili).
