1 pot (size of choice)
Heat Source

Put water in pot somewhat similar to a cup in shape, but usually made of some sort of metal and has a long handle as well
Pot should be large enough to hold all of the water you want to boil
If it isn't, you can divide the water in half but the first half gets cold while you boil the 2nd half.
Light or turn on burner under pot
Cook until bubbles appear.
Voila!! Boiling water
