1 cup flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped dates
1 stick of butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Spray an 8" square pan with cooking spray. Combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder. Cream the butter with the sugar, add the vanilla. Beat in flour alternately with the milk. Mix in the dates. Bake 20-25 minutes. Cool.
