2 oz. compressed yeast
1/4 c. sugar
5 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. lard, part butter
2 c. warm milk
2 c. warm water
3 eggs beaten
10 c. wheat flour, until not sticky

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble yeast into bowl. Sprinkle 1/4 c. sugar over this and mix to blend. This will melt down into a liquid in a few minutes. Meanwhile, cut lard into dry ingredients as for a pie crust. Then stir in warm liquids, eggs, and yeast. Stir well. Bake 375º for 10-15 min.
