Directions:
Crush graham crackers. Melt 1/4 lb butter in a shallow frying pan. Over very low heat, add crushed graham crackers. Divide graham crackers into 5 portions. Divide jam and applesauce each into 2 portions. In a clear crystal, straight-sided serving bowl layer ingredients. Starting with graham crackers...jam...graham crackers...applesauce...graham crackers...repeat with remaining jam and applesauce. Graham crackers will be between each layer of jam and applesauce. Top with freshly sweetened whipping cream.

Personal Notes:
This is my great-grandmother Clawson's recipe. She called it Danish Apple Cake even though there is NO cake involved. It was always served at Thanksgiving. However, when she made it, she always went to the bakery and got day-old cinnamon rolls and used them instead of the graham crackers.
