2 T olive oil
2-3 onions-chopped
3-4 cloves garlic
3 qt Italian stewed tomatoes
3-15oz. cans chunky tomato sauce
2-12oz cans tomato paste
1 c burgandy wine
3 T parsley
1 c V-8 juice
2 T Worchestshire sauce
1 1/2 t oregano
1 1/2 t basil
1 t thyme
1 t fennel-crushed
1/2 mushrooms-sliced
OPTIONAL:
1 lb ex lean ground beef
1 lb lean ground pork
1 lb Italian sausage

Simmer all for 4-5 hours. I've made this both ways...with and without meat. Its a great marinara sauce without meat, but is really good with the meat for anything else. It freezes very well, in fact, its better to freeze and thaw for best blend of flavors.
