1 pound scallops
1 cup fresh or evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric (optional)
1 1/2 cups dry breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup melted butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
If using sea scallops, cut into halves or quarters.
Pat scallops dry. Mix milk, salt, turmeric (if used)in one bowl. Combine breadcrumbs and paprika in another bowl.
Dip scallops first into milk, then into breadcrumbs. Place in a well-greased baking dish and brush with melted butter. Bake at 500º until crisp, no more than 8 minutes. Serve as is or with home made mayonnaise, tartar sauce, or remoulade sauce.
