1 1/2 lb cubed steak or stew meat
3 medium potatoes in bite size cubes
3 carrots, cut in 1-inch pieces
4 stalks celery, chopped
1 large chopped onion
1 tbsp tapioca
1 quart tomatoes
mushrooms or any other desired vegetables
salt & pepper

Put all together in large casserole. Bank in oven at 250º to 300º for 6 to 8 hours.
