1½ cups sugar
1 cup Wesson oil
3 eggs
1 cup sour milk
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt
1 cup prunes, cooked, seeded & cut fine

Buttermilk Sauce:
1 cup sugar
½ cup buttermilk
½ tsp. soda
2 tsp. vanilla
¼ to ½ cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cake: Blend sugar and oil; add beaten eggs, beat well. Sift all dry ingredients 3 times and add alternately with sour milk. Last, add nuts, prunes and vanilla. Bake 1 hour.

For Buttermilk Sauce: Boil all ingredients for 1 minute. Do not beat.
