2 c brown sugar
1 c shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 c peanut butter
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 c quick cooking oatmeal
1 c chocolate chips (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Add peanut butter and mix. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add gradually. Mix in oatmeal, 1 c at a time, form into small balls. Flatten with floured fork. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes.
