2 1/2 c. flour, sift 4 times
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. Crisco oil
1 tsp. soda
2 bottles red food coloring (small or 1 large bottle)
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs



Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and oil; add eggs, beat well. Sift flour, cocoa, salt and soda together; add coloring and vinegar to sugar mixture. Beat, then add flour and buttermilk and vanilla. Make 4 layers. Bake in 350 degree oven, check your own time for cooking.

Topping:

1 stick butter
16 oz. cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans

Cream butter and cream cheese. Mix remaining ingredients all at once.
