1 lb. medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 Tbsp. olive oil
4 oz. thinly sliced smoked sausage
1 bell pepper cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 teaspoons minced garlic
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup long grain rice
1 15 oz. can tomatoes with juice, coarsely chopped
2 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 Bay Leaf
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions:
Split shrimp lengthwise, set aside. In large skillet heat oil and saute sausage, pepper, onion and garlic 4 minutes or until sausage begins to brown. Add rice, tomatoes, chicken broth, basil, bay leaf paprika and red pepper. Bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer 20 minutes until rice is tender. Stir in shrimp and cook, covered, until shrimp turn pink, about 5 minutes.
