3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda together. Cream butter; gradually add brown sugar, beating between additions. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in dry ingredients, a little at a time, mixing well after each addition; add vanilla. Chill dough one hour. Roll 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured board and cut with cookie cutters. If desired, shape into balls; place on greased cookie sheet and flatten with a fork. Bake at 375 degrees 10 - 12 minutes.
